Nikon has released a new product to the ranks of the entry-level DSLR Monday yesterday that Nikon D5100. Nikon cameras have sensors 16 D5100.2 megapixels and the LCD screen can be set, the auto focus – continuous in a fashion film, maximum ISO 25,600, and new Special Effect mode with four filters that work well for the taking of still images and video/film.
The price of Nikon D5100 is $ 800 which is the update series D5000 is priced at $ 630 which was originally released in April 2009. Specifications D5100 between D3100 ($ 700) and D7000 ($ 1,200) in between the Nikon lineup. This camera combines features of both models and have some creative modes and filters for beginners.
ISO range D5100 have same (100-6400, expandable to 25,600) and 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, 23.3 by 15.6 mm as D7000. In continuous shooting mode, D5100 can catch up to 4 frames per second (fps). It weighs 6 ounces, body D5100 is lightweight and small like D3100.
The latest features in the D5100 is mostly intended for users who want to record video/movie with their DSLR. The camera is capable of capturing 720 p and 1080p resolution movies in at 24 or 30 fps. LCD screen measuring 3-inch, with a density 921,000-dot which can be flipped out and tilted up to 170 degrees, which can be used in movie mode and Live View. Special camera Effects Mode gives users four filters can be applied to the film and still pictures: Selective Color, Color Sketch, the effects of tilt-shift, and Night Vision, which increases ISO to 102400.
D5100 has the ability to auto focus continuous on fashion film-a feature that debuted in D3100. One weakness that is known of this feature is that it produces a loud noise that captured by the microphone on-camera. To help overcome this problem though with additional costs for consumers-Nikon released a new external microphone called-ME 1 corresponding to the hot shoe mount camera and plugs into the mic input port. It is designed to compensate for most of the noise created by auto-focus lens. Microphone-1 will be sold separately from the month of April with a price of $ 180.
